UPS Part-Time Package Delivery Driver Position in Toronto, ON

Pay: $19.50 an hour (Base rate of $17.30 + $2.20 hourly bonus)


Job Type: Part-time, Permanent


Location: 7 Woodfield Road, Toronto, ON M4L 2W1


Shift and Schedule:


  • Monday to Friday
  • Starting at 8:00 AM for 3-5 hours per day (Flexibility required for start and finish times)

Job Description: This position is suited for those who enjoy a physical and fast-paced outdoor role. It involves continual lifting, lowering, and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs., and may weigh up to 70 lbs. Candidates should possess excellent customer contact and driving skills. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and a valid G or higher license issued in Ontario are required. Adherence to UPS appearance guidelines and wearing the provided company uniform is expected.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Efficient and effective delivery and pick-up of packages
  • Adherence to safe/defensive driving methods established by the company
  • Assistance with loading/unloading trucks as needed
  • Recording, tracking, and maintaining information on deliveries

Qualifications:


  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. without assistance and 150 lbs. with assistance
  • Capability to read and navigate using maps
  • Minimum of 3 years driving experience
  • Valid Ontario G Driver’s License
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract with no more than 2 violations in the past 3 years, no current year violations, no more than 5 demerit points in the past 3 years, and no accidents
  • Previous delivery experience is an asset
  • Must pass a pre-employment road test

Working Conditions: Work involves exposure to outdoor temperatures and wearing a UPS uniform.


Note: This position is also known as Courier Driver or Package Driver in the industry.
