 Casual Position as International Centre Office Assistant in Calgary, AB


The Opportunity:


This role at the International Centre (IC) of SAIT is focused on enhancing operational excellence. The Office Assistant will support the IC team in ensuring that SAIT's systems, processes, and functions meet or surpass the standards of SAIT's PSI competitors.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Welcome international learners and visitors both in-person and virtually.
  • Manage the IC's email inboxes, directing messages as needed.
  • Perform general office tasks and support external partnership activities.
  • Serve as a reference for students, their families, and high school counselors, offering support and advice.
  • Work closely with the Centre on initiatives for current and prospective students.

Administrative & Information Management Tasks:


  • Respond to inquiries from existing and potential students in person, via email, or phone, and direct complex queries to the appropriate staff.
  • Assist with managing Fresh Desk inquiries and refund request escalations.
  • Contribute to the IC EOS Newsletter, website updates, and manage email templates.
  • Process FOIP forms and maintain records in Banner and other relevant systems.
  • Enter application and agent information accurately for record-keeping.

International Marketing Support:


  • Help develop the IC's social media strategy, including research and content creation.
  • Assist with marketing strategies suitable for international audiences.
  • Create and design promotional materials for various media platforms.
  • Analyze advertising effectiveness and recommend strategies.

Recruitment and Student Support Activities:


  • Engage with prospective students, parents, and counselors through various channels.
  • Provide accurate information about SAIT’s programs, services, and enrollment policies.
  • Collaborate with the Centre’s staff to enhance international student success and integration into SAIT and Canadian life.
  • Assist with marketing, events, content creation, and other engagement activities to support recruitment and student support teams.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Deep understanding of SAIT programs and the ability to communicate this knowledge to others.
