Health & Safety Summer Student - Exshaw Cement Plant

- Demonstrate a commitment to a safe work environment. Understand the safety objectives of the organization and supports these efforts in a visible manner.
- Assist the H&S team with site inspections, audits and investigations.
- Develop presentations and training materials.
- Follow up with stakeholders on corrective action completion.
- Manage records and documentation.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Mature attitude and ability to work effectively independent of supervision.
- Strong organizational skills, with ability to attend to detail, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in utilizing computer and web-based systems.
- Proficiency in working in Google Suite.
- Strong willingness to learn.
- Able to work effectively with different people in different environments.
- Able to organize and manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
- Completion of 1st or 2nd year of applicable post-secondary education, formal training in specialized areas of safety considered an asset.
- Returning to Health & Safety or Engineering studies in the fall.
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
